Spanschachteln haben einen sehr lange Tradition, und finden auch heute noch vielfältig Verwendung, z.B. als Schmuckdose, Brillenetui oder auch Nähschachtel.
Diese langovale Spanschachtel besteht aus Nussbaum, der Verschluss ist in Form eines Pferdekopfes gearbeitet.
Der sanft abgerundete Deckel, sowie der Boden sind eingesetzt und mit Holznägeln fixiert, den Verschluss habe ich mit Birkenwurzel vernäht, die ich im Wald ausgegraben habe.
Jede Spanschachtel ist einzigartig, keine wird wie die andere.
