Spanschachteln haben einen sehr lange Tradition, und finden auch heute noch vielfältig Verwendung, z.B. als Schmuckdose, oder auch Nähschachtel.
Diese Spanschachtel besteht aus Kirsche.
Deckel und Boden aus Birke. Sie wurden gefalzt eingesetzt und mit Holznägeln fixiert, den Verschluss mit Birkenwurzel vernäht, die ich hier im Wald ausgegraben habe.

Jede Spanschachtel ist einzigartig, keine wird wie die andere.

this one is made of cherry wood.
Bottom and lid of birch are fixed with wooden nails, the braiding I`ve made of birch roots, I harvest here in the forest.

every box is unique, they always look slightly different.
