Spanschachtel Brillenetui (NB/E)

Spanschachteln haben einen sehr lange Tradition, und finden auch heute noch vielfältig Verwendung, z.B. als Schmuckdose, Brillenetui oder auch Nähschachtel.
Diese Spanschachtel besteht aus Esche und Nussbaum.
Deckel und Boden habe ich eingesetzt und mit Holznägeln fixiert, den Verschluss mit Birkenwurzel vernäht, die ich hier im Wald ausgegraben habe.

Jede Spanschachtel ist einzigartig, keine wird wie die andere.

bentwood boxes have a very long tradition, until today they are still in use for example in Scandinavia or Japan.
you can use it as jewellerybox, glasses case, storagebox for yarn. 
this one is made of ash and blacknut.
Bottom and lid are fixed with wooden nails, the braiding I`ve made of birch roots, I harvest here in the forrest.

every box is unique, they always look slightly different.
