Spanschachteln haben einen sehr lange Tradition, und finden auch heute noch vielfältig Verwendung, z.B. als Schmuckdose, Brillenetui oder auch Nähschachtel.
Diese Spanschachtel besteht aus geräucherter Eiche.
Deckel und Boden habe ich eingesetzt und mit Holznägeln fixiert, den Verschluss mit Birkenwurzel vernäht, die ich hier im Wald ausgegraben habe. Die Schachtel ist geölt und gewachst.
Jede Spanschachtel ist einzigartig, keine wird wie die andere.
